Meliodas

Meliodas is the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins, known as the Dragon's Sin of Wrath, and later becomes king of Liones. Centuries before the story begins he was the eldest prince of the Demon Clan, commanding the Ten Commandments under his father, the Demon King. His Sacred Treasure, the twin blades Lostvayne, works together with his innate power, Full Counter, which reflects any attack back at double the force.

Most of the time Meliodas plays the part of a carefree, mischievous tavern owner, but this hides centuries of guilt over the destruction of the kingdom of Danafor, an event tied to the death of his first love and the accidental unleashing of his own devastating power. That grief resurfaces whenever the people closest to him are threatened, and it is one of the few things that can push him toward the merciless prince he once was.

His bond with Elizabeth, the reincarnated soul of the woman he lost, drives much of his journey: protecting her, confronting his own father and brother, and eventually helping end the long war between demons, goddesses and humans. Their travels with Ban, King, Diane, Gowther, Merlin and Hawk as the Seven Deadly Sins form the core of the story, and Meliodas eventually settles down with Elizabeth as king and queen of Liones.
