Synopsis
Ryouko Fueguchi was a ghoul of the 20th Ward, wife of Asaki Fueguchi and mother of Hinami Fueguchi. Listed in the CCG's files as a suspect by number, she was a gentle soul who, despite being a ghoul, chose not to hunt or kill humans. She relied on her husband to protect the family and defended his shady past, insisting he was a good man. Her caring eyes and kind face were inherited by her daughter.
When the investigator Yakumo Oomori forced his way into her husband's clinic, Ryouko and Hinami hid behind a curtain. Sensing danger, she sought out Yoshimura at the coffee shop Anteiku for help obtaining prepared meat, since neither she nor Hinami could hunt. After her husband was killed by Ghoul Investigators, she sheltered at Anteiku and, escorted by Renji Yomo, visited his grave to bury his mask.
Resolving to start anew, Ryouko and Hinami set out on foot through Tokyo, only to run into investigators Kureo Mado and Koutarou Amon. She unleashed her koukaku kagune, shaped like flower petals, told Hinami to flee, and sacrificed herself. Mado executed her, and her kakuhou was later made into a quinque. She is voiced by Fumiko Orikasa, with Colleen Clinkenbeard in the English dub.
