Synopsis
Asaki Fueguchi (Fueguchi Asaki) was a ghoul, husband of Ryouko Fueguchi and father of Hinami Fueguchi. In the files of the CCG he was catalogued as suspect Number 696. He spent much of his life shielding his family, and even the investigator Kureo Mado acknowledged that he was quite strong.
Born a ghoul, Asaki wielded a rinkaku kagune whose form resembled a bound spine; it favored high-speed combat and delivered sharp, cutting strikes. In the manga he is killed before the Steel Beam Incident, roughly four months prior to the main events, after which Mado forges his kagune into the quinque known as "Fueguchi One."
The anime tells it differently: there Asaki is shown alive as a doctor who agrees to craft new tools for the brutal ghoul Yakumo Oomori (Yamori). Once his work is done, Yamori turns on him, and the gravely wounded Asaki is flung straight into the hands of Mado and Koutarou Amon, who finish him off.
He was voiced by Kōsuke Toriumi in Japanese and Chuck Huber in English.
