Synopsis
Nashiro Yasuhisa grew up in comfort alongside her twin sister Kurona, content to imagine herself as her sister's very first customer once Kurona opened the restaurant she dreamed of. That ordinary future vanished when a ghoul murdered both their parents in front of them, and the CCG took the girls in as wards. As children, Nashiro and Kurona shared a classroom with a young Juuzou Suzuya, still known then as Rei, and first heard the term "one-eyed ghoul" from a guest lecture by Koutarou Amon.
Rather than becoming investigators, both sisters were secretly manipulated and experimented on by Akihiro Kanou, emerging as artificial one-eyed ghouls. The trauma left Nashiro cold and nihilistic, but her bond with Kurona only grew stronger — each sister ready to abandon any objective the moment the other was in danger.
During the pursuit of Madam A alongside Ken Kaneki, Nashiro is critically wounded by Suzuya's blades and carried from the battlefield by her sister, who refuses to leave her behind. Abandoned by Kanou soon after, Nashiro's ultimate fate is left deliberately uncertain: Kurona insists she survives on, fused into her own body, while Kanou dismisses it as nothing more than a grieving delusion.
