Synopsis
Nao Tomori is a first-year student and the Student Council president at Hoshinoumi Academy, known for chasing down ability users with her camcorder to document proof of their powers. Sharp-tongued, self-righteous, and fiercely proud, she hides a painful past behind her confident exterior — her older brother, Kazuki Tomori, was subjected to experiments after their family was lured into a boarding school secretly run by scientists studying supernatural abilities. The trauma of losing him to insanity left her unable to trust anyone outside the council.
Nao is the one who recruits Yuu Otosaka after catching him cheating with his possession ability, offering him and his sister Ayumi a place at the academy. Underneath her harsh methods lies genuine care: she dotes on younger students, blames herself for Ayumi's death, and eventually earns Yuu's trust completely, to the point that he willingly hands his stolen powers back to her.
A devoted fan of the band ZHIEND, fronted by Sara Shane, Nao channels her loneliness into loyalty toward the friends who prove themselves to her. When Yuu spirals into depression after Ayumi's death, it is Nao who tracks him down and pulls him back from the edge, marking one of the series' emotional turning points.
