Synopsis
Ayumi Otosaka is the youngest of the Otosaka siblings, a cheerful middle-school student who idolizes the idol singer Yusa Nishimori from the band How-Low-Hello. She lives with her older brothers Yuu and Shunsuke, taking care of Yuu at home by cooking and waking him up every morning, unaware for most of the story that anyone in her family has any supernatural ability.
Ayumi's easygoing warmth makes her instantly likable to everyone she meets, including Nao Tomori and Yuu's new circle at Hoshinoumi Academy. That warmth turns tragic when her latent ability, the power to trigger structural collapse, awakens under stress at her school and the building comes down on her, killing her. Her death is the emotional pivot of the series, driving Yuu into despair and setting the stage for his eventual attempt to change the past.
Later, Yuu uses time-leap abilities taken from Shunsuke to travel back and hide before the collapse, giving him a chance to save her — an act that reframes everything the story previously established about her fate.
