Shuu

Shuu (シュウ) was a male ghoul and a resident of the 11th Ward, a character introduced solely in the anime adaptation of Tokyo Ghoul. He belonged to the group led by Kazuichi Banjou back when Banjou still governed the 11th Ward. Like the ghouls who resisted Aogiri's rule, Shuu was aligned with the Anti-Aogiri faction, even as he outwardly wore the standard attire of Aogiri Tree's members.

His story is bound to that of his lover, Haru. After Yakumo Oomori, known as Yamori, left Ken Kaneki following a brutal torture session, Shuu and Haru arrived to clean up the prisoner and the surrounding area, passing along Banjou's promise that they would eventually rescue him.

Soon afterward, the pair were dragged before Kaneki. Yamori issued a cruel ultimatum, demanding that Kaneki choose which of the two would die so the other might live. Unable to decide, Kaneki could only watch as Haru was strangled in front of Shuu, who was then killed as well. Shuu was voiced by Kohei Aoyama in Japanese and by Orion Pitts in English.
