Haru

Haru (ハル) is a female ghoul who appears only in the anime version of Tokyo Ghoul. She lived in the 11th ward and belonged to the group led by Kazuichi Banjou back when he still ran the district. Haru was the lover of a fellow ghoul named Shuu, and the two of them counted among the Anti-Aogiri.

She first turns up during the Aogiri arc. After Yakumo Oomori — known as Yamori — stepped away from a torture session with Ken Kaneki, Haru and Shuu arrived to clean the prisoner and the room around him, passing along Banjou's promise that they would rescue him.

Yamori later forced the couple to help torment Kaneki, but when the attempt fell apart he killed both Haru and her lover. As an anime-only creation, she stands in for two characters from the original manga. Her voice was provided by Yurie Kobori in Japanese and Felecia Angelle in English.
