Synopsis
Touka Kirishima is a ghoul who works as a waitress at the Anteiku café, hiding a violent double life behind a rabbit mask that earns her the underworld alias Rabbit. The daughter of Arata Kirishima and older sister of Ayato Kirishima, she lost her father young and had to grow up fast, hardening herself to survive in the ghoul world of the 20th ward.
Outwardly guarded and quick to anger, Touka is defined by the tension between the rage she uses to survive and the kindness she keeps buried underneath it — a duality that softens over the course of the story as she opens up to people like Ken Kaneki and Hinami Fueguchi. Her fierce protectiveness over the found family at Anteiku, especially Hinami, reveals the caretaker beneath her tough exterior.
After Anteiku's destruction, Touka manages the reopened café :re alongside Renji Yomo while continuing her education, eventually marrying Kaneki and becoming the mother of their daughter. Her arc closes the emotional core of the series: a girl forced into violence who ultimately reclaims an ordinary, peaceful life.
