Synopsis

Ayato Kirishima is Touka Kirishima's younger brother, known on the streets as Black Rabbit. Raised together in the 20th ward under their father Arata Kirishima, Ayato left home after Arata's death and spent years wandering between wards, leaving chaos behind him until his fighting ability caught the attention of Aogiri Tree's Tatara.

Recruited as an Aogiri executive, Ayato shares his sister's hot temper and blunt, often abrasive way of speaking, along with a habit of lashing out — sometimes literally kicking people — over small provocations. His arrogance masks deep resentment toward Touka for choosing to live peacefully among humans, a choice he initially sees as a betrayal of what their father tried to teach them.

Ayato's path eventually converges with Ken Kaneki's, and through their conflicts he begins reevaluating his father's ideals and his estrangement from his sister. He later reconciles with Touka, becoming an uncle to her daughter and settling into a more constructive role as a peacekeeper alongside the very people he once fought.
