Synopsis
Kaya Irimi is a ghoul and former waitress at the Anteiku café, known in her younger years as the leader of a notorious gang called the Black Dobers, earning the alias Black Dog. A decade before the series, her gang clashed repeatedly with rivals led by Koma Enji, later her own coworker at Anteiku.
Quiet and reserved, Irimi mostly keeps to herself, but shows flashes of blunt honesty when something genuinely bothers her. She holds a particular soft spot for Touka Kirishima and Hinami Fueguchi, and like Koma, has been loyal to Yoshimura since long before either of them worked at Anteiku.
That loyalty defines her final act: during Anteiku's destruction, Irimi fights and dies alongside Koma defending the café and the people who found refuge there, one of several quiet sacrifices that mark the end of Anteiku as the story's emotional turning point.
