Synopsis
Izuna Hatsuse is a young werebeast girl who served as the Eastern Union's ambassador to the Commonwealth of Elkia after her people were absorbed into it. She was assigned by the werebeast ruler Miko to shadow Sora and Shiro and learn from them directly, a task complicated by the fact that the siblings mostly treat it as an excuse to pet her fox ears and tail — which, much to her grandfather's visible discomfort, she genuinely enjoys.
Still learning Immanity's language, she tacks the word desu onto the end of nearly everything she says in an attempt to sound more polite, and occasionally swears without any idea what the words mean. Underneath the childlike habits, though, she's a serious competitor: before meeting the siblings she had been trained purely to win, never to enjoy a game, and Steph and Shiro are among the first people to teach her that the two aren't the same thing.
Izuna is also one of the rare werebeasts able to trigger a heightened blood state that turns her fur red and sharply heightens her physical abilities for a few dangerous seconds at a time. She picked it up from her grandfather, the diplomat Ino Hatsuse, but unlike him she can hold the form only briefly before the strain becomes too much for her small body to bear.
