Synopsis
Ino Hatsuse is a werebeast diplomat who represents the Eastern Union at the Commonwealth of Elkia, working there alongside his own granddaughter, Izuna Hatsuse. After the werebeasts lost their territory to Sora and Shiro in a game, he became bound to the siblings as their subordinate, though his diplomatic duties mean he spends far more time working alongside Elkia's princess, Stephanie Dola, ironing out the practical business of running a multi-racial nation.
Formal and correct with officials and guests, Ino drops the act fast with anyone rude or condescending, giving back exactly the attitude he receives. He's fiercely protective of Izuna and visibly unhappy whenever she gets too comfortable around the siblings, a jealousy that sits oddly alongside his own long list of thirty wives back home — a detail he brings up often enough that even Sora finds it exhausting.
Beneath the comic relief, Ino is a genuinely capable politician and one of the werebeasts able to trigger a heightened blood state, though age has left him unable to sustain the technique the way he once could. His single biggest miscalculation was underestimating Imanity: he chose to leave the previous king's memories intact rather than erase them, a decision that ultimately gave Sora the information needed to defeat the werebeasts.
