Synopsis
Fumio Daimidō is the longtime warden of the Polar Star Dormitory, a recurring presence through most of the story who administers the dormitory's notoriously demanding entrance exam to every prospective resident. She values genuine tenacity and hidden potential above all else, and everyone who has ever earned a room at Polar Star reflects that standard.
Patient and warm-hearted toward her residents, Fumio is nonetheless regularly exasperated by the chaos they generate, from Yūki Yoshino's escaped animals to Shun Ibusaki's smoke-filled cooking sessions. She takes special pride in the dormitory's legendary Golden Era, when residents like Gin Dōjima, Jōichirō Yukihira and Jun Shiomi won enough Shokugekis to make the dormitory financially self-sufficient for good.
Roughly two decades after that era faded into quiet obscurity, Fumio welcomed a new generation of standout residents, including a young Satoshi Isshiki, who would go on to become a member of the Elite Ten Council himself, before the arrival of the 92nd generation brought the dormitory back into the spotlight.
