Synopsis
Shun Ibusaki is a 92nd-generation Tōtsuki student and a resident of the Polar Star Dormitory who specializes in smoke cooking, earning him the nickname Prince of Smoke. Quiet and blunt compared to his more energetic dorm mates, he stays calm and collected under pressure and rarely lets emotion get in the way of a clear read on any situation.
Despite his understated manner, Shun is fiercely competitive and prone to sulking after a loss, though he hides it well. He also happens to know the most among the Polar Star residents about the enigmatic Satoshi Isshiki, recognizing early on that the dish Satoshi used to welcome Sōma Yukihira was far from his best work.
Shun took part in the full run of first-year Tōtsuki milestones alongside his fellow dorm residents, from the grueling Friendship and Rapport Training Camp to the 43rd Autumn Election, where he was among the first forty students selected to compete. He remains particularly close to fellow Polar Star resident Zenji Marui.
