Synopsis
Kishou Arima is a Special Class Ghoul Investigator known across the CCG as the Reaper for his unmatched record in the field — decades of operations without a single defeat. A prodigy recruited into the organization as a teenager, he goes on to lead the elite S3 Squad and personally trains a long line of the CCG's most capable investigators, including Take Hirako and Juuzou Suzuya.
Calm to the point of eeriness, Arima remains composed whether surrounded by ghouls or facing the monstrous One-Eyed Owl, and holds himself and his subordinates to an exacting, almost inhuman standard. Beneath the legend, however, he carries a burden few know about: he is secretly half-ghoul himself, a fact tied to his slow, fatal illness and to his connection with Eto.
It is Arima who defeats and quietly spares Ken Kaneki, ultimately steering him toward becoming his eventual successor as the One-Eyed King. Arima's death marks a turning point for the entire CCG, leaving behind investigators like Suzuya and Hirako to carry on the ideals he embodied.
