Eisuke Urushibara

Eisuke Urushibara is the chief priest of Yanabayashi Shrine and the father of Luka Urushibara and his older sister. A tall, middle-aged man in square glasses, he has, in Okabe's words, the looks of a saint, warm and unfailingly gentle.

He spent his younger years in a rock band, which does not stop him from now being the picture of dignity: he happily teaches Luka the ceremonial miko dance and encourages him to dress femininely, though Okabe suspects there may be more to it than simple family tradition. His relationship with his older daughter, by contrast, is considerably cooler.

In one branch of the Alpha Attractor Field, he is entrusted around 2001 with the legendary IBN 5100 computer, a relic handed to the shrine by Yukitaka Akiha that later becomes central to the events surrounding the lab.
