Synopsis
Kanade Tachibana is the Student Council President of the afterlife school, nicknamed Angel by Yuri Nakamura's group after Hideki Hinata coined the label. A composed girl with long white hair and golden eyes, she shows almost no outward emotion, which convinces the rebels of the Afterlife Battle Front that she is an agent of God sent to keep them in line.
In truth Kanade is an ordinary former student who died of heart disease; her seemingly supernatural powers come from a self-made program called Angel Player rather than any divine gift. After growing close to Yuzuru Otonashi, she slowly opens up, revealing a fondness for mapo tofu, a quiet dedication to the school's gardening club, and a fear of losing anyone else she cares about.
Once the group realizes she isn't working for God, Yuri Nakamura manoeuvres to have her removed from office in favor of Ayato Naoi. Her bond with Otonashi ultimately turns her into an ally of the SSS, helping the group resolve its members' regrets so they can move on.
