Synopsis
Yuri Nakamura is the founder and leader of the Shinda Sekai Sensen (SSS), a student rebellion aimed at God for the injustice of the afterlife. Her comrades call her Yurippe, a nickname coined by Hideki Hinata because she shared a name with his own mother.
In life Yuri was the eldest of four siblings; when robbers broke into her family's home demanding valuables, she couldn't find what they wanted fast enough, and her three younger siblings were killed as a result. That loss still drives her: she blames a higher power she assumes is God for her fate and channels her grief into leading the rebellion.
Charismatic and level-headed even under pressure, Yuri carries the weight of every subordinate's death personally, however necessary the sacrifice. Her growing partnership with Yuzuru Otonashi eventually reshapes the SSS's purpose from vengeance into helping its members resolve their regrets and move on.
