Synopsis
Ryuji Suguro, nicknamed Bon, is an Exwire at True Cross Academy and initially Rin Okumura's academic rival. He is the only son of Tatsuma Suguro, head priest of a Kyoto temple destroyed during the Blue Night, an attack that drove Ryuji to swear he would one day defeat Satan.
Stern and hard-working despite a delinquent-looking appearance, Ryuji has little patience for classmates who don't take their exorcist training seriously, a trait rooted in years of being mocked as the child of the cursed temple after the Blue Night left his community shattered and shunned.
Fiercely determined and strong-willed, Ryuji trained alongside his childhood friends Renzo Shima and Konekomaru Miwa to become an exorcist capable of protecting his temple's legacy. His initial hostility toward Rin, born of his hatred for Satan's bloodline, gradually gives way to genuine respect as the two grow closer.
