Synopsis
Renzo Shima is the youngest son of Ryo and Yaozo Shima and a childhood friend of Ryuji Suguro and Konekomaru Miwa, all three raised at the same Kyoto temple. He enrolls at True Cross Academy alongside them, but secretly works as a double agent, spying for the Illuminati while reporting back to the True Cross Order.
Shima is the most carefree of the Exwires, prone to joking and teasing even his teachers, and easily flustered by things like insects despite his laid-back demeanor. He was quick to accept Rin Okumura after learning of his demonic heritage, insisting it didn't matter as long as Rin remained a good person.
Recruited into the Illuminati just before enrolling at the academy, Shima claims his resentment toward the expectations placed on him by his temple upbringing drove the decision. Unlike Ryuji, he shows little personal investment in avenging their temple's destruction, instead navigating a precarious double life between two organizations that would each consider him a traitor to the other.
