Synopsis
Squala was the most senior of Neon Nostrade's bodyguards. He was not a professional Hunter, but he could use Nen.
He wore a fuchsia long-sleeved shirt patterned with a purple zig-zag over plain blue trousers; his skin was brown with a dot in the middle of his forehead, and his long curly black hair was tied back tightly.
When Dalzollene's death left the question of who would lead the detail, Squala admitted that leading was not his role, despite being the longest-serving of them. Senritsu, listening to his heart, heard the distinct sound of a liar in it — and had her reading confirmed when he insisted he was not an infiltrator.
A Manipulator, he put up a convincing fight against Shachmono Tocino's puppets, dodging every attack, though he most likely knew about the ability beforehand. Against Pakunoda he stood no chance at all. Voiced by Takuma Suzuki in the 2011 series and Norihisa Mori in the 1999 one.
