Synopsis
Reiji Shiratori is the leader of a delinquent gang and the son of the newsman Yoichi Shiratori, whose family fell apart after his mother's affair and abandonment. Once possessed by Astaroth, the King of Rot, in a plot to drag Rin Okumura back to Gehenna, Reiji was freed when Shiro Fujimoto exorcised the demon from his body.
Before his possession, Reiji was smug and openly sadistic, killing animals for entertainment and behaving violently enough to serve as a suitable vessel for a demon king. Following the exorcism, he underwent a marked change, becoming noticeably more polite and composed, though prone to occasional relapses into his old delinquent behavior.
Because he remains a potential vessel for Astaroth, Reiji and his family are placed under exorcist protection after his first possession, but the King of Rot ultimately returns to claim him a second time once his previous host is destroyed.
