Synopsis
Astaroth is one of Satan's sons, the sixth-strongest of the Eight Demon Kings, and an older half-brother of Rin and Yukio Okumura. Known as the King of Rot, he ranks among the Ba'al, the eight most powerful demons beneath Satan himself.
Extremely violent and openly sadistic, Astaroth thinks nothing of striking his own allies and threatens a defenseless Rin without hesitation, yet becomes noticeably more disciplined whenever the conversation turns to Satan, whom he serves with genuine reverence. Once he discovers Rin's flames, his hostility gives way to a strange deference, addressing him as young lord, befitting the son of Gehenna's ruler.
Astaroth has taken possession of human hosts, most notably the delinquent Reiji Shiratori, in his efforts to reach and reclaim Rin, adapting his appearance to reflect features of whichever body he occupies while retaining his demonic nature underneath.
