Yukinori Shinohara

Yukinori Shinohara is a Special Class Ghoul Investigator and Investigation Commander who once served as Kureo Mado's very first partner before later mentoring Koutarou Amon at the CCG Academy. He is later assigned to the 20th ward to investigate the ghoul known as the Binge Eater, and eventually becomes Juuzou Suzuya's final partner.

Described by colleagues as a father figure to the men under his command, Shinohara is cheerful, kind, and steady, drawing on decades of field experience to stay calm through nearly anything — with the notable exception of Suzuya's more violent impulses, which even he struggles to fully rein in.

His long career links him to nearly every major figure in the CCG's fight against ghouls, from his own mentor to the students he later shapes, making Shinohara one of the organization's quiet through-lines — a steady, humane presence across generations of investigators.
