Saitou

Saitou is an upperclassman baseball player and the object of Tsubaki Sawabe's admiration. By her account he is good-looking and dependable, well liked by many of the girls at school.

Throughout the series Saitou is easygoing and understanding, never seeming jealous even as Tsubaki repeatedly brings up Kousei Arima. He eventually ends things with Tsubaki, explaining that he has feelings for his baseball club's manager and that he and Tsubaki are too much alike to work as a couple, though it's possible the real reason was simply not wanting to see her hurt.

Tsubaki admits she had a crush on him, and it appears he felt the same about her, though when his feelings started is never made clear. He is an attractive teenager with neatly trimmed dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, usually seen in his school uniform.
