Synopsis
Suguru Okamura is a young pupil at the Hinamizawa Branch School, sharing a class with Rika Furude and Satoko Houjou. About eleven years old, he first appears in the "Onikakushi-hen" arc of "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai". His closest friend and constant companion is Daiki Tomita.
The "Watanagashi-hen" arc reveals that Okamura has a crush on Rika. Together with Tomita, he likes to loiter after school to spy on the club members, hoping to catch Rika and Satoko in one of their cosplay "punishments". The two boys are also teammates on the local youth baseball squad, the Hinamizawa Fighters.
Okamura has black hair and brown eyes, though his exact look shifts across the different Higurashi adaptations — sometimes drawn heavier, sometimes leaner, and occasionally with distinctively droopy, half-closed eyes.
