Synopsis
Yumi Ogura is a quiet, gentle member of Class 3-3 who works alongside Takako Sugiura as one of Izumi Akazawa's two closest helpers in the countermeasures group. Shy and soft-spoken by nature, she contrasts sharply with Izumi's harshness and Takako's cool detachment.
She is close with classmate Aya Ayano and with her own reclusive older brother, Atsushi, relationships that make her one of the more sympathetic figures in the countermeasures group before tragedy strikes both of them within a short span of each other.
The double loss pushes Yumi past her breaking point, and her grief curdles into a fixation on blaming Mei Misaki for everything that has happened. Following Takako's lead late in the story, Yumi takes drastic, ultimately fatal action of her own against Mei, a stark reversal for a character introduced as one of the quietest in the class.
