Barazou Mankanshoku

Barazou Mankanshoku runs a back-alley clinic in the slums of Honnou City, husband of Sukuyo and father of Mako and Matarou.

Barazou is easygoing, cheerful, and more than a little indecent, joking that he's killed more patients than he's saved without seeming remotely bothered by it. He loves eating enormous portions of food, talking through a full mouth even at the family dinner table.

As the patriarch of the Mankanshoku family, Barazou runs his modest back-alley clinic despite his dubious reputation as a doctor. It is the warm, chaotic atmosphere of his household that gives Ryuuko Matoi her first real taste of family life.

A tall, heavyset man with slicked-back brown hair, brown eyes and distinctively shaped bushy eyebrows, Barazou is usually dressed in a tan jacket over a white shirt and black tie, paired with salmon-colored striped shorts. Despite his easygoing image, he joins the rest of his family in standing against the COVERS during the series' final battle.
