Synopsis
Hawk Mama is the enormous pig who carries the Boar Hat tavern on her back and the adoptive mother of Hawk, whom she took in and raised as her own son. For most of the story her true nature remains a mystery, known only through her many aliases and her unwavering loyalty to Meliodas, whom she trusted to return even after waiting underground for hours at a time.
She is eventually revealed to be far more than a pig: Hawk Mama is a vessel of moss that the Demon King and the Supreme Deity sealed the primordial force of Chaos into, out of fear of what their own creation might do. In ancient times, before taking this form, she was revered by the Celestial Clan as the Mother of Chaos, credited with the birth of vampires and monsters and honored for saving the Goddess Clan during a legendary battle against the Indura.
Once Chaos is finally freed to take on a new vessel in Arthur Pendragon, Hawk Mama's purpose is fulfilled, and she reverts to what she always secretly was underneath: ordinary, inanimate moss.
