Synopsis
Arthur Pendragon is the King of Camelot and wielder of the holy sword Excalibur, later revealed to be the chosen vessel of the primordial force known as Chaos. Adopted as a child by King Uther Pendragon, he grew up alongside an older adoptive brother who resented him deeply, yet Arthur remained forgiving and hopeful that they could one day be close.
Polite, warm and quick to smile, Arthur takes his responsibilities as king seriously without losing his easygoing nature, a combination that makes him easy to underestimate. That impression is misleading: even as a child he showed remarkable composure and bravery under pressure, and as an adult he proves willing to shoulder enormous burdens, including the loss of his own arm, for the sake of the people he protects.
Mentored by Merlin, Arthur eventually awakens his full power as Chaos's vessel, becoming one of the strongest figures in the story. When his throne and identity are later stolen from him, he goes into hiding rather than giving up, quietly working alongside Merlin to reclaim what was taken.
