Synopsis
Koichi Ashikaga is a latent criminal confined to a rehabilitation center, a man whose strange, indeterminate appearance — a shaved head and a full-body skeleton tattoo — matches an equally singular personality. He cares about almost nothing outside "real art," a passion that includes genuine appreciation for the paintings of Roichi Oryo, whose work he once sold as the owner of an art shop before his crime coefficient crossed the legal threshold.
An old acquaintance of Shinya Kogami, who calls him nothing more than "Doggie," Ashikaga proves genuinely useful when Kogami investigates the connection between Rikako Oryo's murders and her father's paintings, drawing on his own expert eye to help spot similarities the police might otherwise miss.
