Synopsis
Mike Zacharias led Squad Mike, a major division of the Survey Corps, and was considered humanity's second strongest soldier after Levi Ackerman. His remarkably keen sense of smell let him detect Titans from great distances, a strange habit of sniffing out new people that colleagues like Hange Zoë never fully understood but trusted anyway.
A brave, tactically minded leader devoted to humanity's cause, Mike stayed quiet during peacetime, speaking only when a matter was genuinely serious. He cared deeply for his squad, taking on Titans himself to buy his soldiers time to escape and feeling real guilt over putting young 104th recruits in danger. Even his courage had a breaking point, though — stripped of his equipment and cornered by the Beast Titan, he faced a terror he ultimately couldn't overcome.
