Ymir

Ymir was a graduate of the 104th Training Corps and a former member of the Survey Corps, holding the ability to transform into the Jaw Titan along with rare knowledge about the true nature of the Titans and the world beyond the Walls.

Initially selfish, cynical and confrontational, Ymir gradually revealed a kinder, more selfless side, especially around Historia Reiss. Given her name by a cult that worshipped the founding Titan Ymir Fritz, the nameless Eldian girl chose to embrace that role even after knowing she wasn't truly of royal descent, and later stood by that identity even as the man who named her tried to save himself by betraying her. Extraordinarily perceptive, she could read the people around her with unsettling accuracy — sensing Historia's self-destructive tendencies and Reiner Braun's fractured psyche alike — and carried real guilt over unknowingly devouring Marcel Galliard, a friend of Reiner, Bertolt and Annie's, during her decades as a mindless Titan.
