Synopsis
Historia Reiss is the current Queen of the Walls and the illegitimate daughter of the nobleman Rod Reiss, the last remaining member of the Reiss royal family. Raised in isolation on a Reiss estate, she was coerced into renouncing her name after her mother's murder, taking on the identity of Krista Lenz and entering military service under the assumption she would die there.
Largely thanks to Ymir's influence, she graduated tenth in the 104th Training Corps and joined the Survey Corps, eventually reclaiming her true name and ascending to the throne after a successful revolution. As Krista, Historia was shy, kind and desperate for approval, driven by a deep-seated belief that she was a mistake — a mindset that repeatedly pushed her toward self-sacrifice, most strikingly when she nearly froze to death dragging a wounded soldier to safety, believing that a good death was the only way she'd ever be remembered kindly.
