Synopsis
Yumi Shirayanagi is a student at the elite Hinomori High School whose looks and gentle manner earned her an unofficial reputation as the school's ideal girl — a title mostly used, half-jokingly, by Yuu Otosaka. Calm and a little shy, she's thoughtful enough to repay kindness but not so soft that she overlooks it when someone wrongs her.
Yumi meets Yuu after he stages a minor traffic incident purely to get her attention and play the hero — a scheme that works better than he expects. The two grow close over visits to a favorite pancake café, usually with her best friend Mishima tagging along before tactfully leaving them alone.
When Yuu transfers to Hoshinoumi Academy, Yumi asks to keep meeting him, unaware of the ability-related secrecy that forces him to refuse. She eventually realizes her feelings won't be reciprocated the way she'd hoped and steps back with quiet dignity, thanking him for once saving her life rather than holding the distance against him.
