Mishima

Mishima is a student at Hinomori High School and the inseparable best friend of Yumi Shirayanagi, who affectionately shortens her name to a childhood nickname. Playful, a little childish, and endlessly loyal, Mishima is the kind of friend who worries first and teases second.

She's present for most of the milestones in Yumi's brief entanglement with Yuu Otosaka — whispering approval when he gives a speech at the entrance ceremony, and later sobbing with relief after Yuu, secretly using his ability, stages a rescue that saves Yumi from a serious accident. When the two are invited to a café together, Mishima quickly reads the room and tactfully excuses herself, giving her friend a chance at a moment alone with him.

Though a minor figure in the wider plot, Mishima's warmth and comic timing make her one of the more memorable supporting faces outside the main cast of ability users.
