Synopsis
Light Nostrade is the head of the Nostrade Mafia family and the father of Neon. He began as the leader of a small gang, but by shrewdly exploiting his daughter's fortune-telling ability he built a reputation and rose quickly through the Mafia ranks.
He is a middle-aged man with his hair combed back and a thick moustache, almost always in a suit.
His manner is usually calm, but anything threatening Neon's safety puts him instantly on edge. He indulges her whims almost without limit — though how much of that is genuine affection and how much is the value he places on her gift remains an open question.
He is the man who hired Kurapika and the rest of Neon's bodyguards, and who negotiated with her when she threatened to stop writing fortunes under the weight of too many requests. Voiced by Eiji Ito in the 2011 adaptation and Kazuhiko Nishimatsu in the 1999 one.
