Elder Sister Nishio

Nishiki Nishio's elder sister (her true name is never revealed) was a ghoul who appears only in a flashback in Tokyo Ghoul. Her story surfaces during the Gourmet Arc, in the scene where her younger brother Nishiki Nishio confronts Shuu Tsukiyama.

She lived with Nishiki in a worn-down tent and served as a caring, parental figure to him. When he expressed his reluctance to kill and eat people, it was she who taught him that consuming human flesh was essential for a ghoul to survive. Even so, she moved freely through the human world, dating an affluent shop owner so that she could live more comfortably.

Her secret was eventually discovered, and the very man she was seeing reported her, leading to her death at the hands of the CCG. Nishiki later killed that man in revenge. She was voiced by Yumi Uchiyama in Japanese and Alexis Tipton in English.
