Synopsis
Alice Nakiri is a member of the Nakiri family and Erina Nakiri's cousin, a 92nd-generation Tōtsuki student who specializes in molecular gastronomy. Raised alongside Erina at the family estate, she was often overshadowed by her cousin despite her own considerable talent, and at five years old moved to Denmark to study under experts in the field, becoming one of the world's top young molecular gastronomists within a few years.
Confident and playful, Alice enjoys teasing her rivals and gossiping about romance, a sharp contrast to her more guarded cousin. She can be bossy, especially toward her devoted aide Ryō Kurokiba, whom she recruited as a teenager after discovering him working at a small pub in Denmark and challenging him to a duel he eventually won. Beneath the smugness, Alice is quick to throw a tantrum when things go against her, though she recovers just as fast.
At Tōtsuki, Alice built her own reputation independent of the Nakiri name, winning a Shokugeki against the Cutting-Edge Cooking club during middle school to claim its clubroom. Her rivalry and affection for Erina Nakiri remain central to her arc, as does her growing respect for Sōma Yukihira.
