Synopsis
Rio Nakamura is a student in Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High School. A former child prodigy in elementary school, she grew tired of the pressure that came with it and deliberately let her grades slide in pursuit of an ordinary life, which is exactly what landed her in the assassination class.
Nakamura's teasing can put even the class's resident flirt, Taiga Okajima, to shame, and she pairs that mischief with the sharp intellect of her prodigy years. She loves needling her classmates, with Karma Akabane and Nagisa Shiota as her favorite targets, yet beneath the playful exterior she is serious enough to openly push back when she disagrees with a plan.
Though she doesn't receive major focus right away, Nakamura keeps resurfacing throughout the story, from rivaling Tomoya Seo in the English finals to moments that reveal just how sharp she really is underneath the jokes.
