Synopsis
Kie Muramatsu, far better known by the nickname "Applehead," is a minor character in Tokyo Ghoul. A ghoul active in the 17th Ward, she was tied to more than fifty murders over the course of a single year. Her true face is distorted and looks stitched together, and her head is red and shaped like a seam-covered apple. To hide such a conspicuous appearance, she wore a mask in daily life that made her look like an ordinary elderly woman.
The hunt for "Applehead" became the first joint case for investigators Kureo Mado and Koutarou Amon. Muramatsu produced a medical certificate claiming a human Rc factor, but Mado saw through the forgery. He pretended she had been cleared and waited; when Amon offered to help carry her luggage and noticed blood leaking from a bag, she attacked. After a brief struggle, Mado killed her. In combat she wielded a rinkaku kagune.
She was voiced by Mika Doi in Japanese and Juli Erickson in English.
