Synopsis
Aikurou Mikisugi is the enigmatic homeroom teacher of Ryuuko Matoi and Mako Mankanshoku at Honnouji Academy. He initially comes across as a dull, easily flustered teacher, but secretly watches over Ryuuko, helps guide her to Senketsu, and operates as an agent for the rebel group Nudist Beach.
In his true persona, Aikurou is flamboyant and openly flirtatious, with a habit of slowly stripping off his clothes mid-conversation that leaves Ryuuko thoroughly unimpressed. When he reveals his real identity to her, she initially refuses to take him seriously purely because of the group's absurd name, a reaction that genuinely stings him given how proud he is of the cause he serves.
He once worked as an assistant to Ryuuko's father, Isshin Matoi, one of the few people who understood the true danger of Life Fibers. After Isshin's death, Aikurou received a letter from him with instructions on how to find Senketsu and deliver it to his daughter, which is what led him to take up a teaching post at the academy.
