Liz

Liz, full name unknown, was a Holy Knight of the kingdom of Danafor and the 106th reincarnation of the goddess Elizabeth, making her a direct predecessor of Elizabeth Liones. Originally a soldier from a rival nation, she was captured during a failed night raid and sentenced to death, only to be saved by Meliodas, then a Holy Knight leader, who declared that anyone objecting to her survival would become his enemy.

Distrustful at first, having previously been sold into slavery, Liz initially assumed Meliodas only wanted her for her body and resented his blunt, teasing personality. Over time that hostility softened into genuine affection, and the two became lovers, with Liz eventually settling into life in Danafor and earning the loyalty of knights like Cain.

Her story ends in tragedy: when the demon Fraudrin attacks Danafor seeking her goddess blood, Liz fights back but is killed, and her death triggers the grief-fueled rage that leads Meliodas to obliterate the kingdom entirely. She is reborn shortly after as an infant, the sole survivor of Danafor's destruction, and is given to King Bartra Liones to raise as his own.
