Takehito Kumagami

Takehito Kumagami was Shunsuke Otosaka's closest friend, first introduced to the Student Council as a mysterious figure who appears dripping wet whenever his ability is active — a quirk that unsettles every new member before they learn it's simply how his power works. His ability lets him locate ability users, making him an essential scout for the council.

Kumagami says little, speaking mainly to relay what he's sensed, but he is defined by quiet loyalty: he willingly walks into danger when his family is taken hostage, and in flashbacks he is shown as fiercely devoted to Shunsuke, who calls him by an old childhood nickname. That devotion is mutual and lasting — decades of shared history compressed into a handful of scenes.

His story ends in tragedy: while protecting Nao Tomori from an attack, Kumagami is fatally wounded and dies in Shunsuke's arms, a loss that devastates his oldest friend more than almost anything else in the series.
