Synopsis
Yoriko Kosaka is an ordinary human and the closest human friend of Touka Kirishima, whom she befriended as a classmate at Kiyomi High School in Tokyo Ghoul. Warm-natured and gentle, with a short bob and an ever-present smile, she loves to cook and dreams of becoming a baker.
Yoriko is devoted to Touka, constantly bringing her food and coaxing her to eat together, and she likes to tease her about Ken Kaneki being her supposed boyfriend. She has no idea that Touka is a ghoul, so her refined, human-pleasing cooking is agony to her friend's palate. Touka returns the affection deeply and once stood up for Yoriko against bullying classmates, a bond that mirrors Kaneki's friendship with Hideyoshi Nagachika.
In the sequel Tokyo Ghoul:re, Yoriko works as a waitress at the Oasis bakery and reconnects with Takeomi Kuroiwa, a former elementary-school classmate whom she eventually marries. She is later falsely arrested for allegedly harboring ghouls and used as leverage against Touka, but after the Dragon War she is cleared of all charges and returns to baking while raising her firstborn son. She is voiced by Chinatsu Akasaki in Japanese and Jad Saxton in English.
