Komissa-chan

Komissa-chan is not a person but a pair of holographic mascots, the boy Taro and the girl Hanako, used by the Public Safety Bureau to soften interactions between police and the public. Police drones project the Komissa hologram over themselves during Hue checks and other encounters, giving officers a friendlier, less intimidating presence while questioning civilians or approaching suspects; the same projections also serve as visual roadblocks to restrict access to crime scenes.

Enforcer Tomomi Masaoka is noted for playing the role especially well, adopting a warm, kindly manner whenever he wears the projection — though he drops the act instantly if he spots Shinya Kogami nearby, startling bystanders in the process.
