Jude

Jude is a Holy Knight and member of the Weird Fangs, the unit stationed at Baste Dungeon that captured and imprisoned Ban five years before the story begins. He fights with a spiked shield bearing a rose insignia and remains one of the dungeon's guardians long after Ban's initial capture, personally overseeing his torment.

Serious and openly cruel, Jude shows no hesitation about torturing or killing anyone he considers useless, a trait that made him one of Ban's most relentless tormentors during his years of imprisonment. Little is known about his face, hidden behind a helmet wrapped in metal vines, but his armor's spiked shoulder plates and rose-carved shield give him a distinctive, menacing silhouette even without it.

Jude's story is defined almost entirely by his role in Ban's captivity: alongside fellow guardian Golgius, he represents the harsher, more sadistic side of the Weird Fangs, a contrast to the more comic or sympathetic knights Ban later encounters elsewhere in the story.
