Synopsis
Takamasa Iki is Hiyori's father, husband to Sayuri Iki, and head of the Iki General Hospital — a position that places the family solidly among the local elite. Little of his personal history makes it into the story directly.
What comes through clearly, though, is how he treats his daughter: consistently warm and protective, more concerned with Hiyori's happiness and wellbeing than with the stricter expectations his wife tends to hold her to. He is a quieter presence in the family than Sayuri, but a steady one.
