Synopsis
Sayuri Iki is Hiyori's mother and the wife of Takamasa Iki, a middle-aged woman who holds firmly to fairly traditional expectations for her children — chiefly, that Hiyori eventually find a good husband and settle into a family of her own.
That old-fashioned streak comes with a flair for the dramatic, and it puts her rather at odds with her daughter's actual interests: Sayuri is strongly implied to disapprove of Hiyori's enthusiasm for wrestling, viewing it as far too rough and unbecoming for a young lady, even though she never quite manages to talk Hiyori out of it.
